Application of these conditions

These conditions apply to the use of this website and are the Terms and Conditions on which National Stair Nosings & Floor Edgings will supply any of the products to you and by proceeding further and/or placing an Order, you agree to be bound by the conditions.

 1.Descriptions,prices and product information

We have taken care to describe and show items as accurately as possible. Despite this, slight variations in items may occur. The colours on the listings are given as examples and without obligation-shades will vary according to the customer's screen/monitor settings. If there is anything which you do not understand, or if you wish to obtain further information, please contact us.

Every effort is made to ensure that prices shown for items are correct at the time when the item is added onto the website. If, by mistake, we have under priced an item, we will not be liable to supply that item to you at the stated price. In those circumstances, we will notify the correct price to you so you can decide whether or not you wish to order the item at that price. If you decide not to order the item, we will give you a full refund on any amount already paid for that item in accordance with our refund policy.

All prices are expressed inclusive of any VAT payable unless otherwise stated. The price of an item does not include the delivery charge. The rate applicable for the delivery charge will be calculated at the time you place your order.

2. Availability

We try to ensure that most products are held in stock, although some items are only available after they have been pre-ordered. If for any other reason beyond our reasonable control we are unable to supply a particular item, we will not be liable to you except to ensure that you are not charged for that item.

3. Payment and acceptance

If you buy an item on our website, you will be charged for an item at the time you place your order. After this time, you may not amend your order ( please see our Returns Policy).

Your order is an offer to buy from us. Nothing that we do or say will amount to any acceptance of that offer until we actually dispatch an item to you. At any point up until then we may decline to supply an item to you. If we decline to supply an item to you and you have already paid for it, we will give you a full refund of any amount already paid for that item in accordance with our refund policy.

 4.Special Order

Any order of items classified as 'Special Order' on our website or goods cut to specification may not be cancelled once placed, and will not be accepted for return. Any Order for which there is insufficient quantity in stock and more stock has to be ordered to fulfil the Order may not be cancelled once placed, and will not be accepted for return. Any pre-ordered item is classified as 'Special Order' item, and the order once placed may not be cancelled and will not be accepted for return.

 5.Delivery

Delivery will be made to the address specified when you complete the order. We use a variety of delivery methods, depending on the size of the item you order and or the value of the goods. Some items are delivered directly by the manufacturer.

We aim to dispatch all orders within  the availability period stated on the listings page of  the particular product. Whilst we make every effort to dispatch your order within this period, we shall not be liable if we fail to do so in part or in full due to circumstances beyond our control. The majority of orders are dispatched using overnight service and therefore should be with you the next working day. However the delivery network is under pressure due to service demand as a result of the increase in online orders and Covid. Additionally, there is a shortage of qualified HGV drivers and warehouse staff which is affecting turnaround times at the regional depots. We ask you to allow up to three working days for your order to be delivered to you. If you still haven't received your order after thus period then please contact us.

A signature may be required at delivery. We use third party delivery companies which may, at their discretion, leave an item in a safe place if no one is present at the time of delivery. In these circumstances the delivery company should put a card through your letter box explaining where it has left the item. During the period of Covid most carriers are adopting the No Contact Delivery Practice. This is for the safety of both you and the driver. The delivery driver will not ask you to sign the Delivery Handheld Device. Instead, the driver will knock the door/ring the doorbell, place the consignment on the doorstep, step back from the door 2 metres and ask for you to confirm your name. The driver will then type your name into the Delivery Handheld Device and the parcel will be deemed to have been delivered.. 

6. Inspection

Customers should inspect the goods on delivery. Claims for damage, short delivery or any discrepancy should be confirmed in writing within 48 hours of delivery. A failure to inspect the goods shall be taken as an acceptance of the goods as delivered. The company will not be responsible for any short delivery, discrepancy or damage reported after that period, or after installation. The product should always be checked for flaws and damages prior to installation (even if there is a safety foil applied).The installation of the goods will be taken as an irrevocable acceptance of the goods, and no claims for damages or flaws will be accepted under any circumstances.

7.Failed Delivery 

On occasions where parcels are identified as 'Failed Delivery' either because addressee has gone away, or there was no answer, or address incomplete, or address inaccessible, or address unknown or not called for, the customer will be informed of the failed delivery by email, and if required, a request for delivery address or confirmation of delivery details. In such instances, cost of re-delivery will be charged to the customer.

8.Returns & Refunds                                                                                                          

You may return most items in an original and unused condition and wherever possible in the original packaging. If you want to cancel/return your order you must contact us by email within 14 days of receiving the goods. Certain items cannot be returned, as detailed in the RETURNS POLICY section.

9.Shipping                                                                                                          

When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items. We aim to dispatch most orders placed next business day, provided the ordered items are in stock. We do not ship orders on Saturdays or Sundays. In most instances, a signature is required at delivery so please ensure that there is someone available to receive it. If you do have to leave your premises unattended, please issue clear, signed instructions in a prominent position, telling the carrier where they can leave your goods. We use third party delivery companies which may, at their discretion, leave an item in a safe place if no one is present at the time of delivery. In these circumstances the delivery company will put a card through your letter box explaining where it has left the item. If you have specifically asked your order to be left in a particular place, the parcel will be left at your own risk, and no claims for lost package or short delivery will be entertained.

10.General                                                                                                          

Our liability to you in connection with any order will not exceed the total price charged for the items
