Stainless Steel Directional Tactile Bars with Anti-Slip Infill – Peel & Stick or Shanked (25mm × 280mm)
These 316 stainless steel tactile bars are high-performance directional tactile indicators designed for anti-slip tactile paving systems in busy public and commercial environments. The flat top surface is filled with a high slip-resistance resin infill, combining a premium architectural finish with excellent traction underfoot.
Available in both shanked (drill-fix) and self-adhesive peel-and-stick versions, these bars provide a versatile alternative to traditional corduroy paving. They offer a strong visual and tactile contrast, making them ideal for guiding blind and partially sighted pedestrians and warning of potential hazards ahead.
The bars are installed in rows at right angles to the direction of travel to create a directional tactile paving strip. They are suitable for internal and external use in high-traffic areas such as stations, concourses, entrances, ramps and circulation routes.
- Shanked version: underside manufactured with three fixing stems; installed using a two-part epoxy adhesive for a secure, concealed mechanical fixing.
- Self-adhesive version: factory-applied peel-and-stick backing for quick, drill-free installation on sound, smooth substrates.
Available in black, yellow and white, the anti-slip infill provides clear colour contrast to help meet accessibility and tactile paving guidance (e.g. BS 8300 / Part M / DDA).
